The Dog & Partridge is an isolated inn situated on the old medieval salt way route, with a history that can be traced back to the Elizabethan period.
Relax in front of the roaring open fire on those cold winter months or enjoy the stunning moorland views from the beer garden during the long summer days, whilst sampling the selection of beers, lagers and wines which are available. These include a good choice of cask - conditioned beers from around the country.
The hotel provides top quality en-suite accommodation in a converted 18th century converted Barn adjoining the Dog & Partridge. Many of the original features have been retained.
Food is served throughout the bar and in a small dining room, The Beaters Restaurant. The daily menu features traditional country cooking, with a weekly special of fish, meat, pasta, desserts, and game when in season.
