Calling South Yorkshire Manufacturers seeking to improve productivity and accelerate business growth.

If you machine manufacture components or products, have 10-25 employers, and an annual operating turnover of £1-£5million, then Innovation in Action’s 6-month Productivity Challenge could be for you.

Innovation in Action is a collaborative business-led network that identifies and applies solutions to real issues and opportunities faced by South Yorkshire manufacturers.

The Productivity Challenge, co-designed by business for business, will run from September 2025 to March 2026, and includes a package of support from discovery of key productivity constraints, demonstration of tech solution options, to test and pilot of practical applications guided by a 3-month challenge pathway – supported by tech partners, industry mentors and peer-to-peer collaboration at monthly workshops.

The programme will help highlight opportunities and how tech can play a valuable role in driving business improvements, provide valuable insights and clear pathways to innovation adoption with positive impact on business outputs and profit margins.

The cost to participate is £1,000 (for two employees per business) towards a £5,000 package of support (20%). There are 15 places available.
