It’s not just locals who spot the potential our vibrant city has to offer. International companies are now calling Sheffield home too, thanks to the world-class talent, resources, and opportunities available. And that’s exactly what happened with Pendo.
Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, Pendo is a product-analytics app that helps software companies deliver a better user experience for their customers. With seven offices worldwide, 2,000+ customers, and 800+ employees, the team established the Sheffield Development Centre in May 2019 after acquiring Receptive – a local product demand intelligence platform.
They saw Sheffield as an emerging market and seized the opportunity to invest. They believe people with diverse backgrounds and experiences serve their customers best, which is why they’re committed to building teams that represent the communities they serve.
Since the move, Pendo has already expanded its Sheffield operation by 50% and moved to a newly renovated facility in the Kelham Island area of the city. Built in 1835 as a steel refinery, the Eagle Works building offers plenty of room to grow – and there are already big plans to expand again, with the Sheffield office set to become the European Development Centre.
Companies like Pendo – which is one of the world’s fastest growing SaaS (software as a service) businesses – not only bring jobs and investment to our region, but they help strengthen Sheffield’s reputation as a hub for digital.
