2025 events
Off The Shelf Festival of Words 2025
Sheffield's annual festival celebrating books, words and ideas, is one of the UK’s largest literary festivals. Taking place 10 - 26 October, the festival will once again be bringing some of the biggest names in literary talent, media and the arts to South Yorkshire.
Cabaret Voltaire
Stephen ‘Mal’ Mallinder and Chris Watson will mark 50 years of CABARET VOLTAIRE live with an exclusive performance at FORGE Warehouse in Sheffield for SENSORIA Festival.
Celluloid Screams 2025
Sheffield's annual Horror Film Festival, celebrating the best in classic and contemporary horror cinema! Celluloid Screams will host another weekend of big screen scares at the Showroom Cinema 23 - 26 October.
Vice Press Open House 2025
Taking place on Saturday 25 October, Open House was co-founded by renowned Sheffield-based artist Matt Ferguson and celebrates the work of independent artists, creators and vendors from across the UK.
Out of this World 2025
Taking place across numerous outdoor locations in Sheffield City Centre on Sunday 26 October, this FREE to attend event is for anyone who enjoys sci-fi, comic books, gaming, magic, illusion, Halloween and all things spooky.
Autumn Lights at Don Valley Bowl
Autumn Lights returns to Don Valley Bowl for their fireworks fiesta on Bonfire Night Wednesday 5 November. Alongside Sheffield's biggest fireworks display, there will live music, DJ, fire/ light performers, laser shows, fun fair and street food.
Busted vs McFly
Pop rock legends Busted storm the stage at McFly’s sold out 21st birthday headline show at the iconic O2 Arena in London to announce they will be going head to head on tour together next year! Fans got to hear first hand the exciting news of, no doubt, one of the most highly anticipated tours of 2025.
Illuminate The Gardens 2025
Illuminate the Gardens is a fireworks and lighting extravaganza that takes place over several nights at Sheffield's stunning Botanical Gardens, around the weekend of Bonfire Night. This years event will be 7 - 9 November.
Sheffield Print Fair 2025
Sheffield Print Fair returns for their 12th year and will once again celebrate of all things print on Saturday 8 November at the Millennium Gallery, with a host of artists, galleries and print people taking part.
Yorkshire Artspace Open Studios 2025
Visit the creative workspaces of some of the best contemporary artists and craftspeople in the region. Join Yorkshire Artspace for their annual Open Studios showcase at Persistence Works and Exchange Place Studios 15 - 16 November.
Crackers For Christmas - Sheffield Festive Market Opening Weekend
Come and celebrate the opening weekend of Sheffield's Christmas Market and the countdown to Christmas with a host festive family entertainment across the city centre, 15 - 16 November.
Sheffield Christmas Market 2025
One of the best festive markets in the UK, with over 50 log cabins offering seasonal food and drink and unique gift ideas, all set against the twinkly lights of Sheffield City Centre, 13 November - 24 December.
Sharrow Vale Christmas Market 2025
Sharrow Vale Road host their festive street market on Sunday 30 November with over 100 stalls selling a wide variety of locally-sourced and homemade produce, preserves, sweet treats, crafts, gifts and more.
Victorian Christmas Market at Kelham Island Museum
Gather under the gas-lamps and celebrate the start of the festive season as the much-loved Victorian Christmas Market returns to Sheffield's Kelham Island Museum 6 - 7 December.
Nether Edge Farmers' Market - December 2025
Festive edition of this quarterly market, which takes place in the streets around Nether Edge. Taking place on Sunday 7 December expect a bustling atmosphere with 80+ stallholders selling a vast array of local produce, crafts, wares and seasonal treats.
A Christmas Carol
A festive Sheffield Theatres production of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, featuring the Sheffield Carols, redemption, heart, and holiday spirit. Live on the iconic Crucible stage, 29 November - 10 January.
Light Up Sheffield
For ten magical nights this December, three of Sheffield’s most iconic landmarks - Sheffield Cathedral, Sheffield Central Library, and Pounds Park - will be transformed with breathtaking light projections inspired by the city.
Aladdin at the Lyceum Theatre
This year's spectacular, fun-filled, family pantomime in the Lyceum Theatre is Aladdin! Starring Strictly superstar, Kevin Clifton, CBeebies' favourite, Evie Pickerill and Sheffield legend Damian Williams, 5 December - 4 January.
