Spring Conference News 2024

20 Mar 2024

As Sheffield’s Heart of the City Project (that’s £470 million of redevelopment across the city centre) is transforming the city, several new venues are set to open their doors imminently.

Europe’s largest purpose-built food hall is near completion: Cambridge Street Collective is set to be Sheffield’s newest food destination and social hub, complete with 24+ kitchens, rooftop bars, a cookery school and much more, over 3 levels!

This amazing space is a game changer for networking events for large numbers in the heart of the city and will be run by foodie entrepreneurs, the Blend Family. Independent Sheffield food and drink companies will be trading on-site along with local pop-up chefs and vendors.

Interior of a large industrial-style building with exposed steel beams, high ceilings, and modern lighting. The space features a mezzanine level with black railings, a staircase leading up, and a mix of brick and metal walls. The floor is unfinished concrete, and large windows allow natural light into the open area.

The stunning Radisson Blu hotel is taking shape with an enviable location overlooking the Peace Gardens (think magnificent architecture, open spaces and glorious fountains).

Opening on Monday 10 June, it’s restored the charming Victorian architecture of the original building and, as well as events space, it will introduce a stunning bar with what will soon be one of the must-use terrace views in Sheffield- oh and 154 gorgeous bedrooms.

A busy public square with people walking and sitting near fountains and landscaped gardens. Surrounding the square are historic and modern buildings, including ornate brick architecture and a large stone building on the right. The sky is partly cloudy, creating a bright and open atmosphere.

Meanwhile leaf HOSPITALITY is working on the DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City hotel development which is located at Bramall Lane football stadium and is expected to welcome guests from late Summer 2024. The 155-room hotel will include a penthouse suite, a fitness centre, and events space for up to 300 guests.

Modern hotel room with a large bed, a black wardrobe, and a patterned feature wall with a mounted TV. The room includes a round mirror, a small black table with a green stool, a cushioned chair, and contemporary lighting. A framed abstract artwork hangs on the wall, and the floor is carpeted in a neutral tone.

With many more of these hospitality and events spaces as part of Sheffield’s developments, our cultural and foodie credentials make us a real delegate crowd pleaser.

We recently retained our ‘real ale capital of the world’ title with 300 different real ales on sale in the city every day (zero alcohol options also available) which makes it a city that should be on your shortlist for 2024 and beyond. We’d love to enjoy more than just a local beer with you….let us show you around…
