The best places to meet outdoors

As the sun starts to shine we know that outdoors will once again become to the new indoors! Whether it’s to catch up with a colleague over coffee, a business lunch with a client or even just a change of scenery from the main conference venue the range of outdoor options just keeps growing. 

Here are a few of our favourites…..

The Best Western Premier Quays Hotel is located on the beautiful city centre quayside and offers a lovely terrace space overlooking the quays ideal for small outdoor meetings, a quick dose of fresh air from internal proceedings or an alfresco drinks reception overlooking the water. The Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria’s new alfresco patio is perfect for up to 40 guests and features cocktails and some new food offerings or why not try the Novotel’s alfresco dining area which overlooks the stunning Winter Garden.

The Leopold Hotel’s stylish open-air meeting space (complete with umbrellas for the odd shower) can be hired exclusively whilst the more traditional outdoor stone courtyard at Mosborough Hall Hotel will be offering BBQ and Pizzas as the weather warms up. The Mowbray (in the fashionable Kelham Island district of the city) offers its roof terrace for private bookings- it’s a sun trap in the warmer months and a place of beauty with their herbarium and garden plot all year round. Expect BBQ beachy vibes, cooked over wood and charcoal and super special dishes as we’ve come to expect from the Mowbray Kitchen.

Many of our venues have stunning grounds just begging to be used! Whirlowbrook Hall has 39 acres of Whirlow Park and a spectacular elevated terrace to really take advantage of the views. The grounds at Halifax Hall are proving really popular for BBQ’s and networking events. It’s leafy, residential setting at the heart of the university campus is peaceful and elegant. Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa continues its alfresco dining in its 12 acres of grounds with Stone Baked Pizzas, Gin & Tonics, Chilled Bottled Beers firmly on the menu.
