A new membership scheme has been launched in Sheffield to support the city’s independent businesses and reward people for shopping locally.
‘The Community’ offers members access to exclusive discounts and rewards from a growing number of local businesses including Abbeydale Brewery, Silversmiths, Feels Like Home, and more.
Launched by This Is Sheffield, the idea behind the scheme is to encourage the local community to support the small, independent businesses that have struggled for much of the last year, whilst also being rewarded for their efforts.
Matt Pinder, Co-founder of This Is Sheffield, said: “At This Is Sheffield, our aim is to support our city’s wonderful independent businesses as we believe these are the backbone of our community and we want to support them as much as possible as they navigate this ‘new normal’. Through ‘The Community’, we will be able to drive more people through their doors and give them more exposure by promoting their business to people right across the city - and further.
“On the flip side, we also think it’s incredibly important to reward the people who help us do this, those who want to eat, drink and shop in local businesses. That’s why ‘The Community’ rewards them with discounts and offers as a thank you for their support.”
This Is Sheffield is offering free access to ‘The Community’ for the first month and after this, as an introductory offer, the membership will cost just £2.50 per month. Register - at This Is Sheffield
Whether it be with a haircut, clothes or a meal, it is likely that the small membership fee will be made back after just one use, with the number of offers meaning there is something for everyone.
