The Abbeydale Picture House is a much loved, unique building that has become a landmark on the south side of Sheffield. Opened in 1920, this magnificent picture palace entertained generations of cinema and theatre audiences, with silent movies, cine-variety shows and wide-screen spectaculars. It is one of the few cinemas of its age still standing today.
