Attendees will hear from Emrhys Cooper (actor and filmmaker), Naomi Brown (Jesus Fellowship Redress Scheme), and Rachael Reign (Surviving Universal UK) about their work challenging cults and high-control groups. The event will feature experts who have used a variety of tactics to confront cults and high-demand groups in the UK.
Emrhys Cooper, an actor and filmmaker, will share his experience of telling stories about cults—both through his work on Coronation Street and his own projects—to help increase public understanding of the dangers these groups pose.
Rachael Reign, founder of Surviving Universal UK, will describe her efforts to use social and traditional media to expose the truth about the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, an organization with which she was previously involved.
Naomi Brown played a leading role in holding the Jesus Army accountable for the harm caused within their organization.
The panel will be chaired by Dr. Alexandra Stein, a social psychologist and leading expert on cults and totalitarianism.
