Echoes of Exile is a one-hour workshop blending music, identity, and creative expression, led by Mozambican-born Afro-fusion artist and IMIX Refugee Ambassador MoYah.
Inspired by Lusophone African musicians like Bonga, Cesária Évora, and Valete, the session explores how music has helped Portuguese-speaking African communities preserve identity, resist erasure, and build communities across generations and geographies.
Together, we’ll reflect on how our own creative work can strengthen belonging and collective memory.
