Fractured
In collaboration with Dig Where You Stand, this latest exhibition, Fractured, explores the overlooked Black lives that have passed through, moulded and formed part of the cracks of Wentworth Woodhouse in centuries gone by.
This important showcase will bring the unknown Black Georgian community of Rotherham to light, revealing some of the earliest recorded African-descended people in South Yorkshire.
Their names are Thomas Blake, George Senegal, Henry Fryday, Romulus and Remus, and this exhibition will tell their stories.
