The Fringe at Tramlines: Leopold Square - Saturday

27 Jul 2024 13:00 - 23:00

As a Fringe at Tramlines stage, Leopold Square has another full afternoon and evening line-up of free entertainment on Saturday 27 July, part of their full weekend of live music .

1pm – Julian Jones
Julian Jones and his five-piece band perform songs from his latest album 'Looking From Where I Stand', as well as his extensive back catalogue. Effortlessly fusing American country and British indie influences with a Spaghetti Western tinge, Julian's unique style will have you (line) dancing in the Square (or should that be square dancing?!)

3pm – Dan Milson
Dan Millson (guitar and vocals) is joined by a magnificent band to perform a unique mixture of popular covers. From Bill Withers to The Police, Bob Marley to The Beatles and Imagine Dragons to Elvis Presley. Dan is joined by highly talented saxophonist Piero Tucci, Phil Johnson on drums, and Ryan Taylor on keyboards/bass.

5pm – Fajadja
A six-piece bass heavy band from Amsterdam with influences including hip-hop, ska, dub and disco-funk. They are excited to perform as their lead vocalist/rapper and bass player is originally from the UK. Their second EP was released in 2024.

7pm – King Zepha
King Zepha is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Leeds, UK. He has worked all over the world, including performing at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Clockenflap Festival in Hong Kong, Istanbul Jazz Festival in Turkey and Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK. His original music features honking' horns, thumpin' double bass, dub delays, global rhythms and stunning three-part vocal harmonies. The King Zepha Band tour frequently and are regulars on the UK festival scene.

8.30pm – DJ Algie
Possibly the first DJ to hold a residency at Leopold Square some 14 years ago, DJ Algie returns for an evening of soul, R&B and Motown.
