The Fringe Stage at Devonshire Green 2025

26 Jul 2025 - 27 Jul 2025

The Fringe at Tramlines returns to Sheffield and once again, Devonshire Green will host The Fringe Stage- a FREE family-friendly area, with loads of live music on Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 July.

Supported by Sheffield BID and Sheffield City Council, prepare for a weekend filled with music and entertainment as the city centre becomes a vibrant hub of celebration.

Specially curated by local promoter Papa Al, The Fringe Stage will feature an eclectic mix of live acts and DJs, highlighting the best of Sheffield’s vibrant music scene.

The stage is headlined on Saturday 26 July by Fringe favourites Jungle Lion who return with their full ska orchestra, while Sunday’s headline set comes from reggae pioneer Macka B and the Roots Ragga Band.

Alongside many other acts performing will be Ed Sheeran-supported artists from Tracks music project.

Headliner Macka B is a legend of the UK reggae scene whose career spans four decades. Known for his conscious lyrics, witty wordplay and deep roots in Rastafarian culture, he has built a following that crosses generations.

Saturday’s line up also includes Shanghai Treason, The Tivolis (selected by WaterBear Music College), Blue Street Brass and Highway Child, with DJ sets from DJ Myna, DJ Kom and DJ Issa Dancer.

Sunday’s programme features Soul Battalion, an authentic dance showcase from Ripton Lindsey, and performances from Tracks, a Sheffield music development project for 14 to 25 year-old's. Run by Sheffield Music School, Tracks recently welcomed Ed Sheeran back to the city for an impromptu performance alongside their young talents.

Papa Al will also perform with his trademark global selections,
keeping the crowd dancing throughout the weekend.

** Bringing Your Own Drinks **
To help us keep the area safe and friendly for everyone, please note that no glass or cans will be allowed on site at Devonshire Green.

Canned drinks can be decanted prior to entry and to make the event more sustainable, we are asking you to bring your own (ideally reusable) plastic container (cup, bottle or pouch) for decanting as we won’t be providing cups at the gates to reduce waste.

This year we will also be limiting the amount of alcohol you can bring on site to 1 litre of beer, cider or wine per person.
