Andy Jackson, Heeley Development Trust

Andy runs the Heeley Development Trust as well as Recycle Bikes. The Trust grew out of a campaign to stop an ambitious but unpopular motorway scheme in the 1970s. Having won the campaign the community began to find new uses for the land and buildings which had been acquired for it and created a City Farm, a community park, local adult education services, managed workspaces and much more. He's worked with Nesta to ensure the continuing development of Heeley Park, and you can watch him outline that project below.
