Are you a high street business looking for some support after the challenges of the past couple of years? Or maybe you’ve just started out on the high street?
Meet Dan, one of our team of High Street specialists. He’s regularly out and about in his patches- Darnall, Page Hall, Sharrow, Nether Edge, Ecclesall Rd and Abbeydale Rd.
Dan is super helpful and if you are looking for practical support, he’s your man. His friendly approach will make you feel like you’ve known him for years in a short space of time. He’s here to work with businesses on all their individual and immediate issues- no matter how big or small. He’s been part of the team from the first lockdown when businesses needed support to survive so he knows what the past few years have been like on the high street.
Dan’s a finance man first and foremost with more than 25 years’ experience in the banking sector. He was also an Investment Manager for Finance for Enterprise working with businesses that were looking to grow but struggling to access funding. More recently he’s worked for the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub and helped businesses to raise finance either through conventional funding routes, asset-based lending or by accessing grants.
He still has that happy knack of helping businesses to access funding (and navigate all the schemes that are out there). He’s helped hundreds of local businesses access Government grants and he’s a whizz at making short work of those long-winded grant application forms.
He’s keen to help businesses work with one another and he works hard to get the views of high street businesses views represented locally- and within Sheffield City Council.
People describe Dan above all else as approachable and friendly- he’s easy to work with no matter what your issue is. Like all our advisors, he’s helpfully connected into colleagues at the council to assist with things like licensing or street cleaning. And he has the knowledge to help you get things sorted.
