It's been my home for nearly 40 years since coming to the University of Sheffield, and without question has helped to define and shape who I am. It has afforded me many opportunities for which I am most grateful.
I am Chair of the Sheffield Property Association, a partner at Nabarro LLP, and Chair of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership Property & Construction Sector Group. This means I'm heavily involved with the Heart of the City II project, the New Era development, and the redevelopment of the National Union of Mineworkers building.
All of which are incredible professional achievements, but really it’s people and communities who care and want to help, and the respectful environment the city fosters which make me love it. There's a collegial spirit mixed in with entrepreneurial ways of doing things, which I think helps to push the boundaries of innovation and evolving technology for which we are so famed.
