Over recent years, Sheffield has seen a boom in independent eateries, breweries and bars, and the city's food & drink scene is getting some real attention right now. From food halls to fine dining, street food to cosy cafes, across the city you'll be spoilt for choice.

We're a brewing capital of the world with a proud tradition of making our own ale and have plenty of characterful pubs to enjoy it in. A Brewing Capital of the World

Sheffield has retained its position as the 'Real Ale Capital of the World', according to a new report commissioned but the University of Sheffield.  

Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire region is now home to 58 breweries, more per head of population than anywhere else in the country, producing around 1,800 different beers every year.

Jöro

Rafters Restaurant

A relaxed 26-seater restaurant tucked away in the leafy suburb of Nethergreen, Rafters has been a mainstay of Sheffield's fine dining scene for nearly 30 years.

Domo

Specialising in Sardinian soul food in the heart of Little Kelham, this family run gem delivers an authentic and vast variety of dishes. A beautiful outside seating area is perfect for aperitivos in the sun.

The Orange Bird

The Orange Bird is a buzzing neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Hillsborough. Their food is based around modern South African, cooked over a Braai (don't worry, you'll see when you get there), with plenty of local charm and twist.

Fischers

Native

Native is a fresh fish and seafood restaurant located on Gibraltar Street in Sheffield. Provenance and quality in a great atmosphere are key ingredients, and Native certainly doesn't disappoint.

Occupying the former gent’s toilet below the grade-1 listed Victorian town hall, Public is a stunning little haven of fine drinks and delicious food - or as it was once described: "...Wes Anderson train carriage crowbarred into an old bog".

Factory Floor

An industrial oasis hidden away within a cobbled courtyard, in Sheffield's Neepsend. Their unique drip-infusion system derives from a traditional Japanese coffee filtration method, infusing spirits and liqueurs over 12 hour periods, to create a wide array of unique flavour combinations.

Kelu
