Sheffield Christmas Market 2024
14 November - 24 December
Expect Alpine themed bars, a traditional German sausage grill, Yorkshire pudding wraps, mulled wine & cider, hot chocolate, churros and many other treats as Sheffield Christmas Market returns to the city centre.
Celebrating Sheffield's great independent scene, once again there'll be a whole host of traders with many of them based locally, offering seasonal food & drink and unique gifts.
Sheffield Cathedral Illuminated: The Gift
3 - 7 December
'The Gift’ will be Sheffield Cathedral’s fifth Christmas illuminations spectacular, lighting up the building inside and out.
Since 2019, nearly 40,000 people have marvelled at this incredible multi-sensory light and sound immersive experience.
Victorian Christmas Market at Kelham Island Museum
30 November - 1 December
Gather under the gas-lamps and celebrate the start of the festive season as the much-loved Victorian Christmas Market returns to Sheffield's Kelham Island Museum.
Peruse unique gifts and local makers with over 80 market stalls selling an array of Sheffield-made wares, quality gifts and seasonal goods, plus an array of festive entertainment.

6 December - 15 January
Get ready for the fairest and most magical Lyceum Panto of them all, fly into a world of adventure with Wendy and Peter Pan in the Playhouse and watch out for the plants when the hilarious rock musical Little Shop of Horrors takes over the Crucible.

Back for another year to help get you into the festive spirit with over 50 log cabins offering seasonal food and drink and unique gift ideas, all set against the twinkly lights of Sheffield City Centre, 14 November - 24 December.

Christmas Tree Festival
Sheffield Cathedral will sparkle and shine when it is lit up with more than 40 Christmas trees, each beautifully decorated by a local charity, community group or business. Free to visit, the Christmas Tree Festival will be on show from 3 December through to 12 January.
Snow White (Lyceum Theatre)
Sheffield Lyceum's 2024 spectacular, fun-packed, family pantomime is… Snow White! Starring Catherine Tyldesley as the Wicked Queen, Gladiator's Viper and Sheffield’s favourite Dame, Damian Williams, the show runs 6 December - 5 January.
Little Shop of Horrors (Crucible Theatre)
Sheffield Theatres present the hilarious killer rock musical live on the Crucible stage. Blooming with favourites including Little Shop of Horrors, Suddenly Seymour and Skid Row (Downtown), the show runs 7 December - 18 January.
Underneath a Magical Moon
A reimagining of Peter Pan as told by Wendy Darling, this sparkling production with exquisite music, enthralling movement, and a sprinkle of Tutti Frutti magic is for children 3+ and their families to enjoy, in the Crucible Playhouse 11 - 31 December.
Sheffield Hospitals Charity Christmas Concert
Returning for a third year, on Wednesday 18 December, the Sheffield Hospitals Charity sell-out event ‘A Cathedral Christmas’, is set to be hosted once again by the brilliant Reverend Kate Bottley (BBC Radio 2, Gogglebox).
