World Snooker Championship

The World Snooker Championship is professional snooker's longest-running, most prestigious, tournament and has been held at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield since 1977.

No Bounds

Presenting a special weekend of music, art, technology and dancing in October each year, No Bounds is Sheffield’s most innovative and experimental music festival.

Festival of the Outdoors

Kicking off the outdoor season with a bang! Each March, Festival of the Outdoors offers a full month of events and activities celebrating the Sheffield's great outdoors and its communities. With a really wide variety of events there's something for everyone!

DocFest

Widely recognised as one of the best documentary festivals in the world, DocFest has been held in Sheffield annually since 1994. The festival presents a vast programme of film screenings, exhibitions, industry events and more.

Sheffield Chamber Music Festival

Music in the Round and Ensemble 360 host an annual Festival each May in the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse and other venues around the city to present informal and inventive performances of classical and modern classical music.

Open Up Sheffield

On the first two weekend of May each year, Open Up gives people the opportunity to visit artists, creatives, studios and inventive people at the places where they work in neighbourhoods across the city and beyond.

Get Together

Get Together - as the name suggests - is a friendly affair. It's about having a great time discovering new music whilst meeting some great people, and also getting to have some tasty food and drink from local producers while you're at it. It's about ditching the attitude that can come with music sometimes, about letting yourself go, and coming together at the same time.

Sheffield Food Festival

An annual celebration the city’s vibrant food and drink scene, with a host of great local produce and mouth-watering street food!

Tramlines

One of the UK’s longest running, city-based music festivals and a highlight in Sheffield’s music calendar, Tramlines takes place at Hillsborough Park, in July each year.

Art in the Gardens

Held in Sheffield's Botanical Gardens each September, Art in the Gardens is one the largest outdoor art market events in northern England, with artists, craft makers and visitors coming from across the UK.

Off the Shelf

Taking place each October, Off the Shelf presents a varied festival programme, with hundreds of events covering the whole literary spectrum across fiction and nonfiction, poetry, politics, journalism, music, history and science.

Sheffield Walking Festival

Taking place over ten days each September, the festival celebrates all sides of Sheffield with a whole host of enjoyable walks of varying lengths, with plenty to see and discover along the way. This year the festival will take place 6 - 15 September 2024.

The Fringe at Tramlines

Each year, as Hillsborough Park gets ready to host the main Tramlines Festival, the rest of the city also gears up to stage a whole host of music events for all tastes. Taking place in various Sheffield venues 26 - 28 July 2024.
