Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

Sultan Stevenson, one of the most exciting young jazz musicians whose captivating performances and original compositions have led to his rapid rise on the London scene, with his trio at Sheffield Jazz.
The Heavy Souls
The Heavy Souls, heavy blues rock powerhouse from the steel city of Sheffield, will perform their biggest show to date at The Leadmill. With a sound as raw and unapologetic as the industrial roots of their hometown, The Heavy Souls channel the gritty spirit of blues and the thunderous energy of rock into a sonically joyous experience.
Endurance
Jenni is not an athlete. Jenni has not done enough training. Jenni wants to perform a feat of endurance in real-time. She really wants to be able to run up hills and mountains. Since her mum is Bolivian, she's banking on her DNA containing Inca genes, which she hopes will mean that she will be shit hot at running up mountains.
Britain's Strongest Man 2025
The City of Steel welcomes the Return of the Iron Men! Britain’s Strongest Man will be back in Sheffield for a eighth consecutive year at Utilita Arena Sheffield on Saturday 1 February 2025
Chrystine Moon
The first of February 2025 will bring local singer/songwriter Chrystine Moon, and YouTube historian and songwriter Catherine Warr to The Lantern Theatre, carrying with them songs bursting with heart, humanity, history, and humour.
Lou Lou's Sheffield Vintage Market
Lou Lou’s Vintage Market, returns to Sheffield Cathedral on 1st February, showcasing a variety of the UK’s best vintage traders selling clothing, accessories, home and collectables from the 1940s right through to the 1980s.
