Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

Sheffield Chamber Music Festival 2025
Join Music in the Round & Ensemble 360 for this year's festival Friday 16 – Saturday 24 May, as they welcome some of the world's finest musicians and stellar guest artists.
Echoes From The Birdcage
Experience the vibrant soundscape of London’s King’s Cross with Echoes from the Birdcage. These works capture the diversity of the city, from the meditative echoes of Messiaen to the energetic beats of Steve Reich and works infused with jazz and Balkan folk dance.
Family Concert: Giddy Goat
Being a mountain goat is no fun when you are scared of heights! Stand poor Giddy on a mountain ledge and his head starts spinning and his knees turn to jelly. But can he find the fearless goat inside himself in time to rescue little Edmund, the sheep?
Get Together 2025
Now into its fifth year, Get Together has earnt a reputation as one of the best festivals for original and independent music, art, food and drink. For 2025, the festival returns to Kelham Island and Neepsend for another massive music takeover on Saturday 17 May.
Intimate Letters
Janáček’s intricate second quartet – nicknamed ‘Intimate Letters’ – is skilfully interspersed with the Czech composer’s own writing, performed by an actor, in this specially scripted performance of the work for Ensemble 360 with actor.
Sheffield Cocktail Festival
Shake things up with Sheffield’s Biggest Cocktail Party! The Steamworks is set to come alive with 25 of the city's top bars, iconic drinks brands, and expertly crafted cocktails on Saturday 17 May.

Goldberg: Bach at Breakfast
A breakfast concert of Bach’s hugely popular Goldberg Variations, at Samuel Worth Chapel. Intricate counterpoint and life-affirming spirituality are the hallmarks of this most intimate of works presented in a breath-taking, conversational arrangement for violin, viola and cello.
