13 November - 24 December

Expect Alpine themed bars, a traditional German sausage grill, Yorkshire pudding wraps, mulled wine & cider, hot chocolate, churros and many other treats as Sheffield Christmas Market returns to the city centre. 

Celebrating Sheffield's great independent scene, once again there'll be a whole host of traders with many of them based locally, offering seasonal food & drink and unique gifts.

Light Up Sheffield

5 - 14 December

Sheffield City Centre is set to be lit up like never before, with a brand-new illumination event.

For ten magical nights, Light Up Sheffield will see three of Sheffield’s most iconic landmarks - Sheffield Cathedral, Sheffield Central Library and Pounds Park - transformed with breathtaking light projections inspired by the city itself.

Created in collaboration with Sheffield artists, the illuminations will celebrate both the city’s heritage and its creativity today.

Victorian Christmas Market at Kelham Island Museum

6 - 7 December

Gather under the gas-lamps and celebrate the start of the festive season as the much-loved Victorian Christmas Market returns to Sheffield's Kelham Island Museum.

Peruse unique gifts and local makers with over 80 market stalls selling an array of Sheffield-made wares, quality gifts and seasonal goods, plus an array of festive entertainment.

Enjoy special Sheffield Theatres production of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic A Christmas Carol live on the iconic Crucible stage, 29 November - 10 January.

While this year's spectacular, fun-filled, family pantomime in the Lyceum Theatre is Aladdin! Starring Strictly superstar, Kevin Clifton, CBeebies' favourite, Evie Pickerill and Sheffield legend Damian Williams, 5 December - 4 January.

Celebrate the festive season at Sheffield Cathedral with a brand-new artwork by Sheffield artist Pete McKee, on display 5 - 30 December.
